BEATIFUL ANTARTICA

One day we went fishing and ate raw fish, also slept inside an igloo where it was too cold it was more like a camp, it was a very pleasant experience, it was fantastic to be in contact with the nature, we spend three days at the camp and made 2 days to reach the city.

That some day we agreed to visit the Antartica, the idea of living that experience againg was so exiting, we also decided to share, that experience with some friends.

We had a good experience on a boat, we went through the cold water marine animals and we saw the huge snow mountains and icebergs, a lot of people in the boat were happy to witness such beautiful things, plus we had good relations with all people who were on the boat.

The night on the boat was very heavy, the truth was somewhat uncomfortable, because I could not sleep because it was so cold, the next day was good because we didn’t feel cold at all, we found a couple and we invited them to play a board game, they agreed and we started playing, our meeting last long, after playing we decided to eat something and that was the end of our encounter.

ANTARTICA IN TOURISM

During the days we were over there we learn that fifty years ago the people who visited Antartic were scientists who mostly fed with the local fauna.
While we stayed there, we had to take our own food from our place of origin.

In the Antartica the tourism is a very frequent activity, Regardless the fact that this is not a place very suitable place to visit, many people enjoy visiting Antarctica with amazing landscapes, with snow everywhere, their animals and the amazing ice blocks, all this make this place an excellent option for researchers and adventurers.

Our Antartica experience

Gerardo and I visited Antartica, and we are amazed about the natural beauty that we found here.

On this trip to Antartica we could realize that very few people live down here, it is only from a thousand to four thousand people.

In fact, local people told us about the fast ice melting of the Antarctic for fourteen thousand years, at the end of the last glaciation and they said that was the main cause of sea level to rise around the world about twenty meters more than normal, This happened in the course of five hundred years.

We talked about that in year 1899 a person named Carstens Borchgrevink along with his crew of the Southern Cross built the first huts were the first to spend a winter on the Continent.

The time when we were there was a bit harsh as the climate is extremely cold, and it was very hard to get used to it.
